RICE KRISPIE CHOCOLATE CANDIES
A snow day project with the kids?? A Valentine’s Day treat? Or the need for a little more magnesium in your diet? This may be the fastest, easiest way to make chocolate candy treats—and it’s from a video of Chef Jacques Pepin making these for his grand-daughter. This could easily be a 2-person job.
- 4 oz bar of dark baking chocolate
- 2 1/2cups Rice Krispie cereal
Crumble chocolate bar into a heatproof glass measuring cup. Place cup in a slowly simmering pot of water—keep the heat low and stir occasionally while the chocolate melts completely. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or non-stick foil. Divide the rice cereal into two soup bowls. Working with one batch at a time, pour half the chocolate over cereal in one of the bowls. Working quicky, mix chocolate and cereal. Scoop generous tablespoons full of the mixture and drop on prepared baking sheet. Repeat with remaining cereal and melted chocolate. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Share and enjoy
