About This Site

I came to cooking late in life. Big city take-out was too easy and convenient. A move to rural/coastal/southern farm country changed my life. No take out—no dinner! So, I found the roadside stands, the little groceries with a real butcher in the back, the fishing boat docks—bought some of those spiral bound church cookbooks, and the rest is history.
