Broccoli Salad
This is another one of those sides we all know about—especially if we use those great old community cookbooks. It shows up at pot lucks, backyard barbecues, and often on the holiday table. Takes about 15 minutes prep—with possibly the simplest dressing ever invented—mix ingredients to taste. Recipe increases easily—for how many people are at your table. Make a day ahead, cover and refrigerate.
- About 2 cups chopped, cooked broccoli
- ¼ cup chopped, toasted pecans
- 1 slightly chopped apple
- 3 slices cooked, crumbled bacon
- Sliced red onion (optional)
Dressing
- Mayonnaise
- Sugar
- Apple cider vinegar
Toss all ingredients in large bowl—add dressing to taste.
