Avocado and Mango Salad
There’s nothing very complicated about this simple salad—the good taste of mango and avocado together is hard to overthink. From Mexico to Thailand, these two warm weather fruits often share a plate. The sweet, tangy, spicy zing of the equally uncomplicated dressing livens up the flavors and elevates a simple salad into a multi-layered indulgence.
• 1 avocado, pitted and cut into chunks
• 1 mango, pitted, flesh scored and cut from skin
Dressing:
• Juice of ½ lime
• 1 tsp EVOO
• 2 -4 tsp maple syrup (to taste)
• ¼ tsp or more, chili powder
• Sea salt to taste
Whisk dressing ingredients and pour immediately on and around cut fruit. Garnish with cilantro leaves or chopped red onions.
