Briar’s advice to her 18-year-old self: Don’t worry so much about what other people think. You don’t need to feel bad by what other people tell you. The system is that people tell you to do this then that happens and that’s the way it is. I wish I had known that more than that was possible. I also wish that someone had explained the patriarchy. I’m just starting to realize what it is. It’s a scam.
